We have reopened our Homestay to guests at Little Paradise  Goa - with the addition of two new independent studio units to the property. You will also find many more trees, flowering plants and a vegetable garden. Needless to add, we have taken care to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests.

Little Paradise is a charming boutique vacation homestay in Assagao - offering independent cottage room units and contemporary studio-style rooms, to travellers who enjoy the comfort of small spaces, minimal design and alfresco living. Bathed in natural light, the cottage and studio units have large outdoor spaces - decks, terraces, balcaos, balconies and gardens, overlooking the valley of the village.

Set in 1200 square metres of lush tropical greenery, the property rests on a hill slope, giving the experience of a ‘tree house’ - surrounded as it is by mango, cashew, jamun, teak and coconut trees. We grow our own vegetables and herbs on the property and encourage guests to be part of our home garden - to plant seeds, nurture the soil and be a part of the community.

Little Paradise is a peaceful and safe haven for people seeking a quiet home away from home… and yet it is just minutes away from markets, restaurants, yoga and wellness retreats, beaches and the fishing villages of Goa.

Location

THE VILLAGE OF ASSAGAO

Little Paradise lies on the little road that winds down the valley of Assagao from the small market town of Mapusa - 3 km, and ends at the quaint fishing village of Chapora - 5km. The cottage is close to Vagator and Anjuna Beaches - 5 kms. Baga and Calangute are 7 kms to the south and the beaches of Morjim, Ashvem and Mandrem are 12 kms to the north.

Assagao is one of the tiniest and most beautiful villages of North Goa that rests peacefully in verdant hills, clothed in cashew groves. Whilst the village has a laid back and peaceful air about it, it has quietly become eclectic and fashionable, with many stately portuguese style restored homes. Its wide ranging residents from across the globe and India live together with their goan neighbours as an active, wonderful and supportive community. Organic cafes & vada pao chai stalls, goan fish-thali eateries & fine dining restaurants, salsa bars & feni pubs, local vendors & designer boutiques, the village gymnasium & wellness retreats : ayurveda, pilates, yoga, sound & water therapy... all dot the village of Assagao.

And are all within walking distance of Little Paradise.

We have a small seasonal vegetable garden - with tomatoes, capsicum, ruccola, kale, spinach, chillies, peppercorns, turmeric, ginger and more. We have pineapples, mangoes, bananas and papayas - and are lucky to enjoy the fruit before the monkeys do. To keep things earth friendly, we compost our food waste, use mulching techniques and save water.

Anjila, a graphic designer and an eternal coddiwompler, is your homestay host. The full time live - in caretakers, Sarita and Ravi maintain the property. Tulsi, Nona and Rama are the dogs who sing, add love and security to the property.
